It’s been awhile since I did a casual blog, so I figured, why not? I had a few gifts to package from BookCon and needed to do the Writing Ideas Tag that was created by the wonderful Brooke Passmore and Bethany Atazadeh. And I tag…well, everyone! See the tag questions below so you can participate!
It took me about a month, but I finally got around to editing my collab video from the #AuthorTubeRetreat2018. For this video myself, Anna Vera, Kaila Walker and Natalia Leigh are all talking some of our favorite things we do to to help our balance our writing life with our personal life.
What do I even say? It’s hard to render a writer speechless but I don’t know how to sum up this past weekend with justice.
Let’s start with this: here’s my vlog!
I miss these girls so much already. Never in my life have I been surrounded by such like-minded people, people I was afraid to say goodbye to. All of us have so much ahead of us in our futures so be sure to subscribe to everyone’s channels and show the love!
As many of you know, Kristen Martin hosted the first ever AuthorTube Retreat at her house! I cannot even put into words how amazing it was to spend the weekend with this amazing ladies because for the first time we all felt fully understood! We could talk about writing, publishing YouTube, anything! The weekend went by way too quickly, and there is a blog to come, but until then behold…BEAN BOOZELED!
Surprise! I’m teaming up with Brooke Passmore, Natalia Leigh and Caitlin Lambert to do the AuthorTube Book Club! Every month we’ll be reading a book written by an AuthorTuber so we can review it and chat about it later in a live stream. The book for March is Keeper by Kim Chance, so be sure to get a copy so you can read along and chat with us during our live stream on March 30th, 7:30 CST!
As promised, today we’re going to be talking about all things social media marketing. I’m going to be going through all the major social media networks and how you can use them as an author to help market your book and hopefully get a few sales out of it as well. Keep in mind, with all social media networks, you don’t want to push your books onto people. You want to interact and grow followers who look up to you as someone they can trust. As you establish yourself as someone who creates valuable content, even if it’s just tweets or Instagram posts, then your followers will see you as someone who would create a book good enough to buy and hopefully fall in love with.
It’s time for a book tag! This tag was created by the amazing Kim Chance in celebration of her debut novel, Keeper, which releases January 30, 2018! Check out my YouTube video to see me answer the questions below! And be sure to check out Kim’s channel, because she’s a fellow AuthorTuber!
Happy first day of December! I have to say, Christmas is one of my favorite holidays! To get into the Christmas spirit this year on AuthorTube I’ve enlisted the help of Jessi Elliott and Emily Bourne, fellow AuthorTuber’s, to re-create the AuthorTube Christmas tag! Last year Jessi created the tag and this year Emily and I worked with Jessi to create new questions and bring the tag back to life!
