I’ve been participating in NaNoWriMo for a few years now. Some years the timing just isn’t good and other years I just never hit my word count goal. I’ve always gone with the theory that any words written is better than no words written. In fact, I started writing my third novel, She’s Not Here, for National Novel Writing Month 2015. However, I’ve never officially won. This year I was a NaNoWriMo Rebel and made my goal to write 20,000 words, which I did! However, I’ve never actually won. So I’ve come to terms with the fact that I just can’t write a novel in a month. And I’m sure I’m not the only one!

In today’s video, I’m talking about the few things that hold me back from winning NaNoWriMo, as well as why I’m not so good at writing fast. Let me know in the comments below if you feel the same way!
