My Favorite Novel Outline Methods for Preptober // It’s officially October, which means it’s Preptober, when we all start to hunker down and prepare for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). The goal of NaNoWriMo is of course to write a novel (50,000 words) in a month, but most writers can’t just sit down and write. We need to plan. And planning means outlining our novels! In this video, I’m going to go over a couple of different outlining methods that I use, and some tips on how you can outline your novel yourself. Whether you want to outline chapter by chapter, or story beats, I’ve got you covered! We’ll also be talking about some of my favorite writing tools, like outline planners and writing software.
