It’s week 3 of the #STCexperiment and this week is all about the catalyst and debate! I thought this was going to be a hard part to outline, but turns out I had already done most of my catalyst and debate outlining without realizing it!
We’re into week 2 of the #STCexperiment and this week is all about the opening image, theme and set up! Now I’d be lying if I said outlining came easily this week because…well…there were struggles. I still don’t have a firm grasp on my story but I’ve been able to make some real progress and flesh out the story just a bit more!
Who likes to sleep in? If you’re like me you would rather stay in bed until the last possible moment rather than get up and get through your to-do list. I’m not a morning person, but I needed a shift my my schedule so I could actually make time to take care of my stuff while still getting through my to-do list, so today’s video I’m giving you my secret to waking up at 5am.
I’ve officially begun outlining my fourth novel! Not only that, but I’m vlogging the whole time I’m doing it! Brittany Wang and Bethany Atazadeh came up with the #STCexperiment where they’ll be testing out the Save the Cat by Jessica Brody method to outlining a novel! Every week they’re hosting a livestream on their channels to outline their novel. I figured there was no better time than the present to hop on the band-wagon and I got started on outlining my own novel! This is week one of the #STCexperiment, so I focused on creating my hero (also known as my main character).
It’s finally here! After working on the re-release of Essence it’s finally ready for the world! After getting through many roadblocks and making some very last minute edits, Essence is ready for the world! I hope you all love the new cover and that you’re excited for the cover reveal for I am Mercy!
So much in on video! I was able to get some writing in for week two of NaNoWriMo, though I’ll admit not as much as I would have liked, but for a good reason! I’ve been very busy with the re-release of Essence. But before I get to that, let’s talk about some Black Friday sales I’ve got going on that starts today!
Stay tuned for the Love/Hate Tag! But first, we have some things to announce about the #AuthorTubeWriteIn. As many of your know, I team up with Natalia Leigh and Brooke Passmore once a month to do live write ins on our YouTube channels. For the month of October we’re going to have a special Halloween edition and we’ll be dressing up and we hope you do too! Take a selfie of you in your costume on share it on social media using #AuthorTubeWriteIn.
I’ve been meaning to do this tag for the longest time! The writing community is such a positive force and always pushes me to do better, so I’m so happy that Brittany Wang and Peggy Spencer created this tag!
Whenever someone here’s the concept behind She’s Not Here, usually one of the first questions is, where did you get the idea for the story? Normally, the inspiration behind my novels is pretty simple, but things were different for this book. She’s Not Here came from a deeply personal place, so I wanted to create a tag video so I could talk about it and also allow other writers to talk about what inspired their story.
