How to Market Your Book || Reedsy

Today’s video I’m teaming up with Reedsy to talk about book marketing. What is Reedsy? They’re a company that help authors connect with other professionals in the industry. This includes editors, cover designers and marketers. While I feel I’ve got a pretty good grip on social media marketing, I don’t know a lot about Amazon and a few other technical things. I hired Alaina Waagner through Reedsy to help out with the launch of She’s Not Here, but she also agreed to help me with this collab. Alaina is here to talk about what she does a book marketer, how she works with authors, why its important to market your book and how you can choose a book marketer that is a good fit for you.

Book Launch I’m helping to host!

Imagine living every day, knowing your family doesn’t love you. Imagine living a life in a world that looks at you as a curse. In 14th century France Aida is accused of being a witch when the Black Death wipes through her village. Abandoned by her family she is surrounded by death and disease, but when a woman who may actually be a witch tells her how to cure the plague it may mean uncovering a dark magic. But if that means being able to save those you love, wouldn’t you do it? Even if they didn’t love you back?

Self-Publishing Costs (1 Day Until Essence!)

Essence Comes Out Tomorrow!!!

My editors:

So before I started the process of self-publishing my book, I had money saved up to buy my first car. Sadly the car had to put off for a few months, but I was able to jump right into publishing my book. Please note that for a long time I was working every day right after school. Not all teenagers are able to make this kind of money and I don’t take it for granted. My parents didn’t pay for my publishing; however they did lend my money to buy the 100 copies of my book because at this point, like I said, I can barley pay for gas to go to work. It’s a big finial decision to self-publish the RIGHT way, but if you believe in yourself it will be worth it!

What’s it like to be a Teen Author? (4 Days Until Essence)

4 Days Until Essence Comes Out!

Being a teen author is all about learning. Its learning to adapt and learning how to market yourself in a respectable way. My life is busy and stressful, but I wouldn’t change it for anything (well, maybe a contract with a big name publisher, but I’m still waiting for that to happen).
